WHAT IS WALK + CONNECT?
Walk + Connect is a friendly community walk where people from all backgrounds can get to know each other, chat about life, and enjoy a beautiful stroll together in a relaxed, easygoing way.
We believe the best connections happen naturally, not in stuffy conference rooms or formal networking events. By walking together in beautiful outdoor spaces, we create an environment where genuine conversations flow and real friendships form.
Whether you're new to the area, looking to expand your network, or just want to meet interesting people while getting some fresh air, Walk + Connect is for you.
HOW IT WORKS
Meet Up
We gather at a designated meeting point (usually near a visitor center or park entrance) 15 minutes before the walk starts.
Quick Intros
Take a few minutes for everyone to say hi, share their name, and what brings them to Walk + Connect.
Walk & Talk
Start walking together through scenic routes, having organic conversations in small groups or pairs as we go.
Share Ideas
Optional: Share small challenges or ideas you'd like to see solved. These may inspire future community projects!
EVENT DETAILS
When
Regular Schedule: Third Wednesday of each month
Time: 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
We meet at 5:15 PM for introductions and start walking at 5:30 PM. The walk typically lasts about an hour, ending around 6:30 PM.
Where
Current Location: Great Park, Irvine
Meet at the tables in front of the Great Park Visitor Center (250 Corsair, Irvine, CA).
We rotate locations to explore different parks and neighborhoods throughout Orange County.
Who Can Join
Everyone is welcome! We've had students, professionals, entrepreneurs, retirees, and families join us.
No RSVP required, but we appreciate a heads-up on Meetup so we know roughly how many people to expect.
Special Bonus
Share small challenges or ideas you'd love to see solved in daily life or work!
We collect these anonymously, and they may inspire projects at our upcoming Solve-a-Thon in 2026.
