WHAT IS INNOVATORS LAB?

Innovators Lab is a hands-on mentorship and project-based learning program where students gain real-world experience building technology solutions that matter to their communities.

Through workshops, mentorship, and collaborative projects, students learn to apply AI, software development, and design thinking to solve authentic challenges faced by local nonprofits and small businesses.

Whether you're just starting your tech journey or looking to deepen your skills, Innovators Lab provides the resources, guidance, and community to help you grow as a builder and problem-solver.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

Workshops & Training

Regular hands-on workshops covering technical skills, industry best practices, and emerging technologies. Sessions are designed to be interactive and immediately applicable.

Format: Weekly 2-3 hour sessions, both in-person and virtual options available.

1-on-1 Mentorship

Each student is paired with an experienced mentor from industry who provides personalized guidance, code reviews, and career advice throughout the program.

Format: Bi-weekly 1-hour mentorship sessions, plus async support via Slack.

Capstone Projects

Teams of 3-5 students collaborate on real projects for local nonprofits or small businesses, applying everything they've learned to create tangible impact.

Duration: 8-12 weeks, with regular check-ins and milestone reviews.

Resource Hub

Access our library of tutorials, templates, recorded talks, and learning paths. Available to all participants and even non-selected applicants.

Access: 24/7 online platform with curated resources and community forums.
